This policy explains what personal information Goa Auto Show collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to goaautoshow.com and the registration and enquiry forms on it.
What we collect
Visitor registration. When you register to attend, we collect your name, email address and mobile number (including the country code you select).
Sponsor and exhibitor enquiries. When you submit an enquiry, we collect your company name, contact person name, email address, phone number, and any message you choose to write.
We also record the date and time of your submission and the page you submitted from. We do not collect payment details, and we do not ask for any identity documents.
Why we collect it and how we use it
We use your information only to run the event:
- To send you a registration confirmation email containing your entry pass and QR code.
- To send you the same confirmation by WhatsApp, where you have given us a mobile number.
- To verify your entry pass at the venue when the QR code is scanned by our on-ground team.
- To respond to sponsorship and exhibitor enquiries.
- To send you essential updates about the event you registered for, such as a change of timing or venue.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with sponsors, exhibitors or any other third party for their own marketing.
Entry passes and scanning
Your entry pass contains a unique code. When our team scans it at the venue, we record the date and time of the first scan so we know the pass has been used. Entry is free and re-entry is permitted, so a repeat scan is not treated as a problem — it simply shows us when the pass was first used.
Who else handles your information
A small number of service providers process your information on our behalf so that the website can function:
- Our web host, which stores the website and its database.
- Email delivery, used to send your confirmation and any event updates.
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms), if we send your confirmation by WhatsApp. Your use of WhatsApp is also governed by Meta’s own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep registration and enquiry records for as long as needed to run the event and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records and to plan future editions. You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see below.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your information.
- Stop sending you messages about the event.
To make any of these requests, email us using the address below and we will action it.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. A session cookie is used only when an administrator logs in to manage the site.
Children
The event is open to all ages, but registration is intended to be completed by an adult. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children.
